Natedog172 I'm glad that you didn't buy into the ferd f 150 hype. I wish I hadn't. The best way to go about replacing your truck is to go back and compare all the trucks your interested in. Bottom line is ferd used to make a good product but the current generation has cut way too many corners. They have made too many compromises on quality and overall driveability. And when you have a problem with the truck, the dealership / and ferd customer service will have many well rehearsed reasons why they would like to fix your slipping transmission but the window tint that you had installed voided the warranty, and so on and so forth.
You have some very specific goals. If I was you I would look at the cost of modifing the different trucks and buy the one that best suits your needs. I prefer Fords because they seem to hold up better to abuse.
I think a superduty is just what you need. If your going to do what you are say you are going to do. Lift, big size tires. I put the superduty as the best built truck on the road today. I have one myself which I bought used an its awesome. I have yet to have rattle or squeak in the cab after over a year an a half off use. Ford I just think has a better build quality then anything else on the road today. Get a new superduty you wont regret it one bit.
Haha gm come out with a truth about trucks video, that would be hilarious. You ever wondered why they havent its because they have nothing to brag about. With all of the commotion and advertisement that ford has achieved through it why hasnt gm done it well because their product cant compete. Gm is a thing of the past they dont build the vehicles they used to. If you want quality go Ford. They are built tougher, rider nicer, have better interiors by far and are the safest! I just cant understand why people buy chebbies. I guess it takes owning a chebbie to appreciate a ford!
yeah at this point in time they might have more power but whats more important power or reliability on a daily basis
chevy guy: yeah my truch has 350 hp (i don't know how much chevy trucks put out nor do i care at this point in time) its a whole quarter second faster in the quarter mile
ford guy: well thats find out theres a track a few miles from here
Your silverado got rear-ended and ended up totaled. What kind of piece of crap is that,.....amazing...it probably shribbled like a curly fry, what a piece of crapola. Thanks now I know not to buy GM trucks thats for sure, and to think I even looked a Silverweirdoe...hahahahahah.....Now I know why FORD parts expensive, cuz they are built better. GM parts are cheaper cuz they built cheaper,
Natedogg,,i figured you would've learned but I guess not. Please by all means.. go get another chevy and get out of this forum....
......with all that said, i would like diffinitive proof why I should switch to ford?
No real proof here, I was just brainwashed from an early age that Fords were the better truck, and consequently over the years of owning both, I believe the brainwashing was justified.
Currently, I am brainwashing my two boys, and my guess is, they will in turn, brainwash their offspring, and so on and so forth, and so on and so forth, and so on and so forth.....
So you see, does it really matter?

Im not gonna fight with everyone that ford or chevys better cause i believe its all bullcrap. They both have their weaknesses and advantages. My family has both types running around and actually they seem to all be good trucks.Look and drive both and see what u like most.If you liked ur old chevy so much, then buy a chevy again. But dont expect to come to a ford website and here an unbiased opinion.
I think just drive the differant trucks and get what feels right to you they all have good and bad points..i just love the power and feel of my ford pickup..but i also have a nice GMC..i like better than a chevy..but my 68 b.b camaro has it strong points...as does my wifes tahoe best of luck with your choice...
Compare on paper, compare pricing, and test drive both........ that's all you need to do. Chevy Forums are going to tell you to buy a Silverado, Ford Forums will tell you to buy an F-150......... yaddda yadda yadda.....

This is officially the dumbest post I've ever read at FTE.
if your gonna buy a new truck buy the titan, im a ford guy, but that titan is just plain mean....plus you would be not like everyone else....thats my next truck unless ford fixes the quality on their trucks, ive had alot of problems with mine but thats my 2 cents worth
To tell you the truth, I haven't liked any of the f150's since 97. That is why I bought a superduty. I don't like the way they look inside or out, and other than the 04-up frame, seem to be made a littl on the cheesy side. If I was to go for a half ton, it would be a Dodge, cause I was raised that GM trucks are the "devil" and I won't buy a Japanese truck ever. (I do own japanese vehicles, so I'm am not completely biased)
