trailer lights dont work

Ok my running lights have naver worked sence i can think.
The brake lights and turning signals worked untell the + power on
the 6 or 7 hole thing grounded out..

the + wire got grounded out and now the brake and turning dont work
and i dont know if my trailer brakes work yet because I havent tryed yet.


Is thare a set of fuses I sould look at or what ???

Thanks for your help and hopefully its nothing to bad.

I'm having trouble figuring out what exactly you are saying. There are fuses for each individual wire, yes.

Check for continuity through the connector behind the driver's side rear fender well. I had to run jumpers over mine, as the connector has gone bad on some parts.

There's a 20Amp mini-blade fuse that poped on me that powered the marker lights etc.. when the headlights were turned on. Its in the fuse block under the hood. The row of fuses closest to the fender next to the horn fuse. I swapped it out with the horn fuse, also 20A but killed the cruise control in the steering wheel. Either way it sounds like you have something shorting on the trailer or harness.

i will check under the hood for the fuses today and get back to you on how it works out.
