Exclamation Excursion burps and stalls

My 2004 6.0 psd has been acting up since I bought it used in September 2005, with 14,000 miles, probably why it was traded in. Starts fine in cold or warm weather, but mostly in cool weather but sometimes even in warm 80 degree weather it will stall in first 1/8 mile unless I let it warm up. It will start up right away but will stall as soon as I put it in gear (must move from drive to n or park to re-start). The glow plug light comes on, the WIFL light comes on, the theft light comes on and the truck stalls. This also happens on occasion 10 to 15 minutes after I am driving if I accelerate from a stop to quickly or accerate after making a turn, ie, merge onto highway. I can almost get it to burp anytime that I really accelerate quickly. I have had the truck to the local ford dealer who says the computer tells them the truck stalled but does not give them a code to tell why. The dealer asked me to let the mechanic drive the vehicle home for 2 days and guess what, it did not act up for the mechanic, it did however stall the first day that I got the truck back from the dealer after they drained the water/separator and changed the fuel filters and said they could not find anything wrong with it. Sometimes when I accelerate the engine burps, the glow plug, and WIFL come on the truck looses power but it does not stall. It acts like the turbo is not working, if I step on the accelerator it does not increase the engine power. I have to take my foot off of the accelerator and put it back on then a few seconds later the turbo will react to the accelerator and increase the engine power. When the truck is running correctly it is very pleasurable to drive, has plenty of power to pull my 30' travel trailer and pull away from lights keeping up with the traffic. I have had the key sensor replaced already and the new keys reprogrammed first time into the dealer after it would crank but not start in the driveway. I think that it is a fuel pump or pump pressure problem, but I am not a diesel mechanic. Anyone have a similar problem or know of a previous post with a similar problem, I have tried to read the PSD posts and find nothinng similar to my problem.

What are you talking about here? What keys to be reprogrammed?

Check with your dealer to make sure that all of the recalls have been completed. In addition it will be important for us to know the engine build date and the information on the OASIS report...which your dealer can supply as well.

How many miles are on the truck now?

Have you added any mods?

Wonder if you qualified for the wire harness recall.
