i have a problem...i am addicted to bondo. i started an earlier post about putting body filler on some fender arcs i replaced. i realized today that one of the major problems i was having is that i had WAY TOO MUCH bondo on the darn thing.
i new i had a problem...i was just trying to avoid acknowledgement of my dilemma. a few months ago i used too much bondo on a van fender. after i thought i had enough filler, i primed the area. after the primer dried, i sanded and realized that i had more than enough filler. i ended up sanding quite a bit off.
are there any others out there? i thought i would start a support group for this potentially great perdicament. maybe this will help others admit they have a problem. until then, keep slathering.
Nothing wrong with Bondo...smells good too. In fact I got a huge can for father's day along with quart can of the fiberglass Bondo, a gallon of Simple Green and two 30 packs of cold fishing buddies.
a while ago, my uncle had a door break - it cracked from top to bottom but was still a good door. instead of buying a new door, he used some leftover car bondo, smoothed it all out, and painted it up. you would never know it was even broken. bondo is becoming so useful, it may take the place of duct tape someday.
