grandpa needs help

my brandfather has a 2000 7.3 excursion with over 100k and it just back back from vacation and i was told that it cut off a few times and sometimes at low speed it would buck and run eradic pretty badly, do u guys think a cps could be to blame??

What about a fuel filter but sounds like cps?

the truck probably has a new fuel filter b/c it acted up a while back and the stealership sold him some part that he needed b/c of a code i pulled and the truck ran greay but now this- so if the filter is good i might need to get a cps huh??

" Bucking" is dead give away for CPS.

That or pull out the cps and clean the contact. I would always keep a spare cps just in case.
