Diesel clean?

I've heard alot about diesel clean on this sight and from the searches it sounds like everyone says it's a good thing. What exactly does it do. Clean the injectors? And where can i get this locally if possible. Live in wisconsin. Or do i have to order it and if so where and how much. Thanks

Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) Compliant — does not affect the sulfur content of
diesel fuel
Reduces visible exhaust emissions (HC, PM) up to 50 percent and reduces NOx and CO emissions up to 28 percent
Boosts cetane up to 6 numbers — engines run smoother with less power lag, reduced
emissions and easier cold starts
Decreases fuel consumption up to 8 percent — fuel savings exceed cost of additive
Cleans dirty fuel injectors — exceeds Cummins L10 Injector Depositing Test
Superior specifications
Contains Slickdiesel® for maximum fuel lubrication — protects fuel injectors and pumps against accelerated wear from Low and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuels
Reduces piston and combustion chamber deposits — reduces soot blow-by and engine oil thickening
Increases power — reduces need for downshifting during high-load conditions
Exceeds industry standards for thermal stability — improves diesel fuel’s resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation
Stabilizes stored fuel — protects against conditions that promote microbial growth
Effective in all diesel fuels, including Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) and biodiesel

This is from their website. The white bottle is for winter, personnally say straght #2 diesel did not gel at -25F, and the grey is for summer. Most auto parts store, WalMart, TSC or truck stop should have it.

WalMart is where I get it since it seems to be a bit cheaper and they have the large bottles.

I've been buying the large bottles from TSC and transfer to the small 12oz plastic coke bottles. I mix it on the rich side at 12oz for 26gals, and keep one in the truck. I wish they would sell it in the six or eight pack form already premeasured because it sure is sticky and stinky stuff.

Hi Folks, just wondering about using 1 pint of ATF in every other tank? I spoke with a guy who swears by it to lube all of the fuel related parts?!?!? I think the Diesel Kleen will work for me but, just wondered what you might have heard of.D

Use bio diesel instead. ATF isn't recommneded for our HEUI injector engines.

The basic rule is: if its mechanically injected, ATF is okay....not okay in the newer high pressure systems...

Lots of old school diesel mech's swear by the use of ATF, but in all reality it won't do anything DK won't do and doesn't have all the benefits.

I do what Maevans does, 'cept I use Dasani water bottles (16oz) to fill from the 96oz big DK bottles. I then used an empty Rolling Rock beer carton to carry the bottles...just trying to keep everything neat. The neck on the bottles makes pouring so much easier and mess-free.

I used the white during the winter and switched over to the gray as soon as the weather here in Idaho allowed. New filters, synthetic lubricants and constant use of DK with every tank full (along with a few mechanical mod's) I'm sure had something to do with taking a 16-18mpg rig when I purchased it, to the 21-24mpg rig it was...until I added the lift and 315's.

I've been using a product called
FP-60 from Lubecontrol Inc. for some time now and i like it.
Engine really runs smooth and quiet. Read about folks getting
better UOA's and it doesn't affect bearings if u use too much.
Would love to get some feedback from fellow FTE members on what they think. Here's the LINK to the website.
