Wasn't it a few years ago Ford was winning theses things?

I say, "Who gives a carp?" really? Lets talk about Durmaxes and Power stokes in that have a service life over 10 years and see who's is still going.

Was this the comparision done in Diesel Power Magazine or is this another? I tried to find the Diesel Power magazine for July, but they already have August in stores, so I missed the July where they had Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge, Tug or war. If this is the same article thanks for the summary.

I still like the cummins the best, but they really should habe compared liek equipped trucks. I still the the GM wouldt be the fastest but hamper the powerstroke with the 3:73 gears, and it may drop to #3.

DOHCmarauder "Pretty much proves what I've been saying for weeks........the Duramax/Allison flat hauls.

Interesting that even with taller gearing, the GM was still quicker.....

Yes, the Ford is rated to tow more, looks better, may be tougher.....blah....blah...blah..but IF you only need to tow a trailer that weighs less than 12,000 pounds, the GM has more huevos.

At the risk of being redundant, a Super Duty with the GM drivetrain woud be a perfect truck.............here's hoping the 6.4 PSD redeems Ford's honor."

I wasn't offended at all by that article. They stated, and proved, that the Ford F-350 was the most formidable of the three. They clearly stated it felt strong, solid and capable and you had the assured feeling you would get where you were going. It also showed that the Ford handled the trailer instead of the trailer handling the truck, as was the case with the Chevy.

My good friend has a Duramax and complains of how it is tossed about by his trailer. I tow the same trailer, and I feel in complete control. Sometimes I forget the trailer is even back there.

That's a real truck! Chevy has always been faster, Ford is just better.

Chevys 3500 doesn't weigh 800lbs less than the F350 for no reason!!!!!!! What is there not to get?????????????? You want a work truck, get a Ford.

Figured I might as well beat the rush, since it's just a question of time before someone calls one of us an idiot- or worse.
