i know this is gonna make alot of ya'll mad but its fun to whatch ya'll scream and yell so im gonna say it. your biggest probelm w/ your fuel milage is that you have 2 to many cylinders and they are at the wrong angle chop the back 2 cylinders off and stand them all up straight and you'll see 18 or better doing 70@2k rpm other then that all the rest of the problems are circled for you on the truck
its sure going to make me steaming mad.

Has anyone seen any fuel mileage increase by putting in a chip mod?
Yes. Jody's chip on the 80 tune gets better mileage than I did when I first got the truck. It's still not going to win any MPG races, but the chip did help.
I am a new psd owner about 2 month to be exact. I have already changed oil,
changed fuel filter and had to replace a CPS. I have done quite a bit reading on here and learned quite a bit. I have two somewhat different questions.
1. Fuel Mileage: I have a 02 PSD super crew 4x4 with 373 gears completely
stock as far as I can tell. I am averaging about 11 to 12 mpg is there anything I can do to increase the fuel mileage? I dont tow anything I average around 70-75 mph on highway and the tac sits around 2K rpms give or take a little.
2. Road Trip: I am getting ready to go on a road trip and is there anything particular that you guys would recommend checking before leaving?
Assuming you meant superCAB, not superCREW, your truck is just like mine. I got 15 mpg overall empty, 17 on the freeway on cruise control at 60. I improved that to 19 mph on the freeway at 60 to 70 with a Jody Tipton flip chip operating in the 80 economy setting.
If you are heading out very soon, just drop in a new air filter rather than changing to the NAPA 6637. When you have time, make the change over; look at the bigdawg460 post on 7/10/06. That thread has all the info you need to make the change.
Regarding tire size, which is not your problem, remember that the miles on the odometer are measured using driveline rotation, not by looking at the ground zipping by. With bigger tires you go farther with each rotation, but the truck doesn't know it, so you get better mileage than you calculate. This is true using hand calculation or the automatic display on the overhead console.
You will get less wind drag and better mileage if you cover the truck bed; either a tonneau cover or a canopy.
If you don't tow or otherwise use big power I doubt a bigger exhaust will help much.
Good Luck

So, basicly, you want us to put cumminsretards in our super duties?
