Need Help with rear axle question

Hi all glad to be here. I tried searching for the information I needed but I had no luck. I own a 1984 supercab F150 2wd 5 speed I6. My neighbor down the street is moving and wants to know if I want a any parts from his truck a 1979 ford regular cab f250 not too much good left on it but it has a Dana 60 FF rear axle. Does anybody know if that would be a direct bolt in on my truck if it is I'll be planning on some work next week if its not what would it take. Thanks in advance for your help.

Very, very little. All the body parts are different. The frames are different, so expect spring perches and shock mounts to not be where they should be. Even if you put the Dana 60 on there, you'd have to carry two spares. I think you can pick up a rear Dana 60 from a yard for about 100 bucks these days.

I'd probably just let him junk it.

This was going to be free so I guess I will have to pass on it. I have already upgrade the front to 8 lugs I was just trying to find a cheap and easy way to do the back. Do you by chance know if a Dana 60 from a 80-96 model will bolt in the junk yards around here have them for 125.00. But if it is going to take alot of work I'll just not bother. Thanks
