What is the part?

Ok, I'm trying to find out what this parts is that had the wires disconnected in my B2. It is a small gray plastic box containing a circuit board mounted directly under the ashtray. It has a 7 prong plug with 4 on the bottom row and three on the top. The number ot the front of this box is E9EB-10D840-AA. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the factory sound system but at any rate I hate having something unpluggged and not know what it is.

Inside the dash or under the dash near the floorboard or whatever... ? I'm at a loss, no idea what it could be, and I can't seem to cross-reference that part # anywhere so far.

Ohhhh. That's probably for the alarm (headlight, key in the ignition with door open, etc.). At least I think they're both one in the same.

Yes that's exactly what it is. The chime box for the warning system like the kernal mentioned. Same thing as on my 90 & 91 rangers. Some people get annoyed by the chime and disconnect it if they are working on the truck with the door open for a while and maybe forget to reconnect it.
