I just bought a 73 highboy with a 360 and c6 i ruined the tranny well kinda, but i have a np435 married to a np208 i believe it is out of an 82 f150, i have the bellhousing to bolt it up already, would it be possible for me to bolt that up in place of the c6 and be able to run dual cases, or am i just insane, it seems to me like a great idea
so it will work?? just need to change the crossmember a little, so the drivelines should all stay the same, execpt the intermiediate would shortern a hair, i have a pedal assembly, anything else i need to consider, what about the linkage for the rear case, that will brobably need to be changed, maybe not have to start measuring i guess
You'll have to fab up a shifters if the factory ones don't land where you want them and make some crossmember changes. I've never seen this setup used on road but plenty of them in the swamps.
well it isnt a daily driver, just a toy, don't have enough time to keep the other one up so im going for a street legal one 42's are waitin in the shop, i don't see why this would affect the drivability, i think i have a new project ford the weekend
