Remote Lock Install

My 06 F 250 didn't come with remote locks. My dealer says they can put it in for around $275. How difficult is it and where can I find it?

I bought a new F-250 XLT in 2005 and was surprised it did not have remote entry. After checking prices, I went with a system from Circuit City <$150 installed.

you can order the kit from ford about 1 hrs work

ford base # 19a361 is plug and play module then just install door lock

acuators in doors and key pad on door good to go

I just purchased the remote door lock system from Ford. Trust me when I say this is anything but a plug & play item. The system comes with two modules, a wiring harness and no directions. I have found a digram on the web but I am tring to find out what the codes "RKE; VSS; RMST" mean and what is the differance. Any Ideas?

looks hard! it's just not that bad with the instructions and i'm sure you will do a better job then a dealers outside installer also with the correct modual that can be a remote start/ alarm unit
