Question License Plate Light for 96 Ranger - Need Help

I need to find a replacement license plate light for a 96 Ford Ranger Pickup. A few times in the past, when I would launch my boat at the boat ramp, I'd cut the wheel too much and this would make the plastic on the bumper move, and it'd knock off the lens cover for the bulb of my light. The first two times I saw it on the ground, picked it up, and super glued it back to the bulb harness. Last time, it must have fallen off at the ramp, and I lost it. I have the bulb and harness in tack and it works fine. Simply hangs around my plate instead of under the lens like the other.

Anyone know where I can find this lens cover? I've checked eBay, and a few auto parts stores. Thanks for the help guys.

I was missing one when I got my truck.

Picked two up at the boneyard for 5 bucks including bulbs. Obviously replaced the bulbs, cleaned it a bit, and you can't tell the difference now.

Dono could you post a picture, even of just your bumper, since the 93-97 have most in common, I know the bumper is universal between those years, just wondering if they used the same kinda lights.

It looks much like Item 1 in post 2. It is a black plastic oval with the Ford logo in front of the lens. It is 2" at it's widest point, 1 5/8" at it's narrowest and fits in a 1 7/16" hole and is held in place by 2 press-type retaining clips. I have the entire assembly including the 2-wire connector.

Dono,

Yes, I'd love to get that off your hands if you don't mind. I can paypal you for the shipping cost. I'd really appreciate it. You can email me at tomtank77@yahoo.com for my address if you want to send it to me. Also, Trigger, thanks for the great pic. Yes, it is item 1, and if I can't get this one off of Dono, I know where to find one. Also, Ranger Pilot, thanks for your help. You guys are great.

The problem is solved thanks to Dono! He sent me the lens, and everything went into place and worked perfectly. Problem Solved!
