ok hear's the deal i had a 4'' lift kit off of a 76 4x4 that i sold to a buddy of mine and i can't seem to find the sway bar drop bracket for him , so i told him i would make one for him . my ? is from the center of the original hole for the sway bar , how much lower should the center of the hole be moved to keep everything lined up ?
I have made drop brackets for my 74. I put a sway bar off a 78 bronco on it. The 73 has a 78 F250 4x4 frame under it. i have photos of both in my gallery.
ok but im looking at the center of hole for stock location and how far that center is moved down for the 4'' lift thats what i need . ( old center to new center ) distance moved ?
For each inch you lift it, it needs to be a inch longer.
Just weld in a 4" piece to the sway bar links and that's all you need.
Broncograveyard sell some with that are extened 3"s, but are only for lifts up to 3"s, so inch by inch.
BDS sells that drop bracket for about $40. It's just a 1"X1" square stock with a couple of holes drilled in it. I will measure mine tonight and let you know the dimentions. I just measured mine and you need to drop the end on the frame by the steering box 3" from original position. Will try to get some pics tonight. -Ed
