Engine rebuild problem

Just to add to the confusion, I recently had a 400 built, long block with Badger pistons, block decked, line honed, rotating assembly balanced, Comp 255DEH cam,cam degreed, Cloyes True-roller timing set, shop assembled, with new clutch and 3-angle valve job with bronze guides and head resurfaced for $3200. And he screwed up somewhere, because after 3000 miles I lost oil pressure and had to have the bottom-end re-done for $800 more(at a different shop). I wonder how much I was charged for that wasn't done. Bad word travels fast!!!

do us a favor and start a new thread with this...so it gets the attention it should- those of us building motors would want some input as to what could go wrong to cause this. thanks..
btw. why a different shop for lower end? didn't trust the guy or no warranty or...
