advise please!

I just bought a 2004 f-150 5.4L lariat with 23,000 miles on it and i an quite concerned. It has an oil leak (possibly rear main seal) engine seems to knock and chatter a lot at an idle at normal temp(is that normal in the 5.4?). and the serpintine belt squeeks bad when it's humid out. anyone else have any thing like this, did I buy a lemmon or am I just being too picky?? any input would be great,

You're under FOMOCO warranty - take it to a dealer and tell them all of the above. Those are not normal conditions.

The knock at idle could be a cam phaser going bad. The s belts have a habit of chirping alot. I believe there is a TSB for both conditions. Bring it in and have the dealer fix both under warranty. As far as the oil leak is concerned, it seems that is the only thing that my 04 scab hasn't had yet. Nevertheless bring it in and make sure that they fix it under warranty. Don't let ford get away with it!
