Cruise Control Quit Working Fixable ??
2002 Escape. The cruise light would come on but the cruise control wouldn't work, now the light doesn't come on anymore and the cruise control doesn't work. Is there a fuse for the control, have looked in the manual and none mentioned for the cruise control. Any idea what the problem could be and a guess at $$ to fix.

I don't know about an 02 but an 05 Escape has 3 fuses in the smart junction box.
#6 (15a) - switch but also controls the rear high mount stop lamp so you should be able to verify this fuse w/o pulling it.
#27 (5a) - speed control actuator.
#34 (5a) - speed control switches but also controls the ABS.
It shows Ford has two special tools that can diagnose which part failed. The cost? Probably $95 for a diagnostic check plus parts/labor.
