fuel tank replacement

the side fuel tank leaks if i fill more than half-way. is there any difference between the tank for a gas or diesel truck?

The pick-up assembly will be different, but the tank itself should work. I think the hole for the fuel pick-up hole in the tank is the same diamater.

Keep a watch on what year, if you want it to go right in no mods, it would seem the 87 up are a shade different. When I changed my 92 from gas to diesel, the locator tabs were located different. Beyond that, it is the same.

the pick-up assembly ought to be replaced at the same time i would think. thanks for the info, guys.

look at the make of tank some are galv tanks i have ran into this prob so now have plastic tank holds 8 more gallons to
