I was out of town for 3 1/2 weeks and just came back home friday to some problems that magically appeared with my truck while it was sitting.
Start the truck up and it surges and tries to shut off or overrevs and then dies.
It ran fine before I went up north,it is a 1990 f-250 with a 302 in it.
The funny thing I noticed today is that it runs really bad until the check engine light comes on then it seems to run better just really hard on gas.
Anyone got any ideas?
This probobly isnt the same thing but I noticed my truck does that too. I only strat it up every couple weeks and it runs kinda rough not badf but just a little funny. If I drive it around for 10-15 minutes it then smoothes and idles and drives nice. I read that the SD computer will take about 10 minutes to take readings from the sensors and it will make several sdjustments until it gets it right. If your throwing a light then you need to run a code reader.
