Any difference?

Is there any difference between a 92 automatic 7.3 motor and a 90 manual 7.3 motor?

The IP would be different because of the automatic.
90 manual should have a DB2 4821
92 automatic should have DB2 4817 or DB2 5028
If it has the 5028 pump the injectors would be different also.

The rest is the same engine.

so if I swapped the 92 into the 90 truck I would need to change the injector pump and possibly the injectors?

The exra parts for the automatic can be left on the IP, just unhook the hoses or wires.
Or you can remove the kick down switch from the IP, it all just bolts on for either the electric or vacuum kick down depending on the tranny it has.

The 5028 IP for a 92 -94 7.3 automatic is what I am running on my 85 6.9 turbo engine with 94 turbo injectors in front of a 4 speed.

I wanted a 5070 IP off of a 93 - 94 7.3 turbo with a manual tranny, but when mine died Ford did not have one in stock. I needed my truck, so I took what I could get that day.
