Question about crusing RPMS
Can anyone with three speed automatic tranisissions in your truck tell me what their crusing rpms are? At 50mph, 60mph, 70 MPh and 75mph?
I turn about 3000 rpm at 60 mph. To me this is is very high; however, as an experiment I tried shifting from fourth to third gear in my Thunderbird while highway driving just to see and sure enough, it's about 2700 rpm at 60 mph.
I'm curious to know if these are normal speeds. I haven't owned a vehicle with 3 speed transmission for about 19 years (lol) so maybe I just need to get with the program when it comes to three speed automatics!
