Truck keeps stalling
Our '65 M-350 with 300 I6 and 4spd keeps stalling on us. It will start up fine and will drive nice for several miles and it will all of a sudden it turns off. Sometimes if will fire right up again and do it again a little farther down the road. It has a new fuel pump and points. When it's dead, the carb will squirt fuel when you move the throttle. I'm thinking something in the ignition is going. What do you guys think?

Sounds like the coil is grounding out or loosing power. Check the grounding wire or the power run lead where it comes out of the firewall. Replace the coil with a reduced voltage type.

While trying to fix my ignition swith I had a bad connection and it would run a while and then die. I would wiggle the wires and start it up again. If you have replaced or done some mods to the ignition this may be another area to look at for a bad connection.
