Hey guys,
I have a 1992 F150 4x4 302 with stock rims and no lift. According to the tire fitment chart on www.bfgoodrichusa.com, I cannot fit a 33x12.5x15 without a 3 inch suspension lift. I was wondering if it would be possible to fit a 33x10.5x15 without lifting the truck. Also, if this is not possible, would it be possible to fit 32x11.5x15 on stock (7.5") rims? Thanks guys.
theres probably a billion tire size questions to look through using the search feature. People in here get kinda owly everytime it comes up lol. My general answer is it depends how your springs have settled/sagged. I had an 80 bronco with 33x12.5's (13" tread section) with no lift on 8" rims. My springs were newer stock replacements.
I wouldnt go with a rim any more than 4" narrower than the tire width, 2" narrower being optimal. Generally manufacturers have suggested rim widths. I just bought a 1990 bronco and it barely clears the 235/75s (30x9) on it, but my 80 bronco wouldnt rub the 33x12.5s. Every vehicle is different.
