I have a 2002 PSD Excursion. I have noticed that when turning left, I have a subtle creaking sound by the driver seat. I can also feel something (nothing too big) with my left foot on the floor board. I looked under the truck, and felt around, and nothing appears to be bent or loose.
What looks like the front body mounts (I think that is what I am looking at, they are rubber bushings coneecting body to chasis) look a little worn, but not too bad.
I am trying to figure out what the sound could be, so I am some what educated when I take it to a mechanic. As far as turning goes, all else feels fine, and there is not any road sway or anyhting.
One though I had, is it could just be the seat it self making the noise as it pulls up on the floorboard???
Also, for anyone in the Chesapeake, VA area, do you have any good recomendations for a place to take the truck to to have this looked at?
Most likely you have a bad front body mount. I know there was a TCM on the bidy mount to put some shims on... you might want to check on it. Just to make sure you can loosen the body mount and spread some grease on it and tighten it back up. The noise should go away.
