Finally some good luck!
So after a 500 mile round trip today and some extreme offroading at the junk yard in my Ford focus I scored big. The transmission that I had forcefully inquired about turned out to be the jackpot. It was a T-85 with the R-11 overdrive (awsome and very strong combination) from a '64. The only drawback was that the top part of the OD solenoid cover was missing but I didnt complain. The guy said it had been sitting in the back of this wrecked van out in the yard for 20 years. I havent taken the cover off yet it turns free and smoothly so I'm hoping I dont find anything too bad in there. Now the next task it to attempt to track down rebuild parts for it. I'll add pictures to my gallery of the rebuild once I find what I need.

Thanks, I feel like I won the lottery after all the searching I did. I took the cover off and no chips were visible. I still have to inspect the OD unit for any problems but so far there are only minor parts and such that I need to search around for.
