The right brake light/directional light has stopped working. It's on a 2002 E-450. The bulb is good and the ground is fine. I traced the green wire half way toward the front, but I lost it in the maze of wire bundles. It's probably easier tracing the brake light circuit. Can anyone help me find the right wire?
Don't get confused. The brakelight wire is the turn wire. They are the same wire. The wire you should be looking at for the right rear is orange/lightblue.
You should be able to find this wire up front coming out of the steering column. You can check it at a plug at the bottom of the steering column, or inside the steering column at the turnsignal switch.
Leave the turnsignal switch in the center position, and hit the brake pedal. Coming out of the turnsignal switch, you shouldhave power on the lightgreen/orange(the left rear) and the orange/lightblue(the right rear).
