Exclamation HELP! voltage regulator problems!

i own a 1984 Ford F-250 plow truck wit a 460. It has only 60K so i decided to replace the factory 60 amp alt that shouldve been done years ago. so i purchased a 200 amp alt from jc whitney i got it for a good deal. But i wasn't too pleased because they sent me the one with the wrong pulley i then swapped out the pulleys with the old one. but now the alternator they gave me is internally regulated and the old one was externally regulated! how could i get a wiring diagram to firgure out which wires to splice ans swap to fit the new one.

Thanks,
-Dusty

Didn't J. C. Whitney send instructions on how to wire it? If not, why don't you contact their customer service and ask for the instructions? Everything I've ordered from Whitney always came with adequate to excellent installation instructions.

It should look something like this when you are done. The two Black/Orange may be one large 8 GA wires.

Your old system should have looked something like this.
