Quick trans rebuild question
I'm pretty sure I'm gonning be needing a new trans, so when I bring it to the shop and they tell me I need one I want to know what I should do.
This is a truck with 219,000 but since I just bought it I plan on keeping for awhile and plus I still owe my parents money for it so they don't like the idea of junking a truck they just bought. So I was wondering what everyones opinion is on what I should do, I like the HD ones like from BTS or the monster box but I don't have that kind of money to dish out. So I was thinking about getting the monster in a box rebuild and getting it installed at a local shop, now I know that Greg goes thru Jasper for installs, but I was wondering if I bought the rebuild if they could install it and do you think it would still be warranteed by them? I'm just asking for the hell of it before I start making calls and asking questions. Or would a rebuild at a local install be ok?
