It certainly helped my 2005 X, but we aren't comparing apples and apples. I have the 6.0.
The main point is that they do a lot of research and development, and will provide lots of information before the sale to help you out. I was e-mailed .pdf owner's manuals for everything in advance of my purchase. Good people to talk to if you have questions.
