I'm guessing you have the M5OD (5 speed manual) and not an automatic.
If I guessed correctly, then this should help:

Don't remember the exact amount of fluid required. Seems like it was 4 quarts (of ATF). Check your Owner's Manual for more info.

If you don't know what the tranny looks like, you should probably either invest in a service manual or take it to a shop for service....

I agree with above.
It's a good opportunity to buy a service manual (Haynes, Chiltons, etc.) and start learning, OR take it to a reputable shop and have the service done.

An automatic transmission can be an expensive place to make a mistake.
So, if you are going to do it, you need to study the book first and then have a go at it.

Otherwise, pay somebody and you can focus on oil changes, spark plugs, etc.

I do most all maintenance / service on my truck, and have for many years.
I pay somebody to mess with the auto transmission fluid changes. I COULD do it, but I don't have a good palce, and I'd just make a huge mess.
Because, I WOULD somehow, manage to spill all the old fluid.

A trans flush is not something you want to do by yourself for the first time. Buy a service manual, or have an experienced friend come over and show you.
