The TPS is adjustable. You have to hook up a multimeter and get it within specs. There was a thread in here not very long ago that explained exactly what you need to do. Try a search, it was in this forum.
I did a search and had a question. Some say you have to adjust every one, others say that is only true on a 5.0. The general idea was if your screw holes were oval, it's adjustiable; if they are round, it's not. Can you clarify?
I have a 95 with a 460 and had to adjust it after installing a BBK throttle body. Mine had the round hole with no factory adjustment. I drilled out the brass sleeve in the sensor and ovaled the holes.
Adjust the position so that the center wire reads less than one volt with the key on and the motor not running. I set it to 0.85 volt, after pushing a pin through the wire. Be careful tightening the screws without the inserts. On mine, if the screws are too tight the sensor changes voltage.
