Ok guys it's time to chose the location you would like to see this months g2g location. If you vote on a location go ahead and post up a good place to have it if you know of one. I will let this run until Sat and we will have our g2g at the location that gets the most votes!!!
Please post if you have an event or activity you'd like to see us at. Say a lake day at a lake near one of the cities listed. Or a truck/car show. Or anything else you can think of.
One location that might be interesting for a future g2g would be Harvey County East Lake. If you've never been there, it's a really nice lake with quite a lot of room around it. Not a lot in the way of facilities, but for a tailgate type g2g, it might be pretty good. It's located about 6 or 8 miles north on K-196 on East Lake Rd (Greenwich Rd in Sedgwick Co.) I think you can also get to it from Newton on 1st St. I believe, but I've never gone there by that route.
I don't know if there is enough time right now to set up a g2g there this month, but it might be a consideration in the future. And hey, maybe Carl could be persuaded to get his R/C float plane ready and bring her out.
For this month, I'll probably be the only vote for Hutchinson
I'll vote for Hutch as well. Cory has a point about Harvey County East. It really is a nice lake but for some reason it isn't real popular. If anyone wants to go out there and check it out go around to the back side of the lake for the best spots. There is lots of room and who knows I may bring a couple of my planes out there. The lake is actually north of K-196 a few miles. The best way there is either up Greenwich until you get to the lake (Greenwich crosses over the lake) or go to Newton to first street, then go 7 miles east to East Lake Road (Greenwich), and then 1/4 mile north to the lake. Here is a map of the lake for once you get there.
Well guys, it looks like it will be in wichita this month on the 8th. Any ideas on where we want to have it??? I would really like to get out of the norm and find a new place to have a g2g, so lets get some sugestions!!!
It's too friggin hot outside to be outside sweating, I vote inside also. Chad, lemme know what ya find out and if not we can go with the steakhouse thing
