motor mounts

The motor mounts for a 460 that Jeg's and Summit have say they will not fit lincoln motors. What is the difference with the lincoln motors?

I used L&L's and have a lincoln 460 and it worked fine. Couldn't tell ya on the jegs or summit setups. Are you talking about the trans-Dapt brand? I was curious about them also. The last 460 I put in recently into a 77.5 I used Autofab mounts...Very nice quality.

Chopper, Post your block number (D1VE)? Lincoln used a huge engine back in the day and I do not remember the CI but it was over 400. The later 429 and 460 blocks are the same for all FMOCO applications. If you are installing a 460 in a truck, Ford made the best mounts (IMHO). These mounts are plentiful and cheap. Post a little more information about what you are planning and maybe we can help.

Lincoln had a 430 and 462 which was a totally different motor all together from the 385 series. The compression ratio was determined by block milling. I have a Lincoln 460 and it is identical to the Ford.
