Timing question...
Does anyone know which pins on the Ford diagnostic plug to jumper to allow setting of base timing? Every other computer controlled engine I've seen has the ability to override the computers timing control so you can actually adjust the base timing advance, but I haven't found anything documented for this on the 4.2. I'd like to advance mine a few degrees to get a bit more bottom end, as far as I can tell Fords factory timing setting makes this engine an absolute dog. Of course maybe I'm being unfair and have gotten too used to my 250hp(at the wheels) Miata.
