I've towed with an 03 F-350 diesel and it went pretty well. Now i've got the X and i'm planning on towing my mustang from WI to ID in an enclosed trailer. Are the towing charecteristics of the truck and the X the same or are their hidden surprises that I don't know about that go along with towing with the X.
26 ft trailer, 3400 lb car. I've got the weight distrabution bars for the trailer so that should help but otherwise i've got no aftermarket suspension items.

You will get more rear end sway with the X than with an F250 or F350. Might not be bad, but mine was terrible.
You might want to add some sort of sway control (some will debate this). For me, it was a necessity.
You will also want to add better shocks and a rear anti-sway bar.
Lots of other things that you could do, but are not really absolutes.
