i found a 70 highboy for sale the cab mounts, floor, hood hinges, and all the usual rust spots have seen better days the cab is sitting on the frame. it has had steel plates welded above the front of the rear springs the frame dosent look bent looks like it has just been put there to reinforce the frame. the running gear itself looks good no major leaks anywhere.the running gear is mainly what i want anyway i have a 69 camper special body that i want to put on it. the engine sounds good , has recently had new brakes and wheel cylinders put on it, is $12-1300 too much for it?
Come on guys,
$121,300 aint bad? Those babies are getting hard to find.
No,seriously,
All you are getting is the chassis. So,if all was good it might be able to be parted for 800 but for 1300,i would want very good motor,trans,t-case,front/rear Danas.
If the cab is crap, think about all the work it will take to do a proper conversion, isn't the trans tunnel different on 3/4 4x4???
I think they are but dont hold me to it.
Good luck,
and remember,if you got 1300 to spend, look around awhile for a driver,it happens.

You can buy a running 70 F250 for not much more than that. I just sold my 70 F250, with a factory rebuilt 390 with 2,000 miles
on it, for $2,000. It was in perfect condition, with just one
dent in the hood. I got me a real nice 67 F250 that Im working on and I needed the money. But Im already missing my truck .
The good ole trucks are out there if you look around. Don't buy
that piece of junk.
Mud,
If you got the money, keep lookin'.The right thing will come along if you hold out.If you look hard, you still will have what you want by mud season.A little more money will get yo even more.
Good Luck!
