Anti-rattle window

I just bought a set of the anti rattle strips that go in the lower portion of the window. Anyone install these with the window in? Any tips so I don't damage these installing them?

Not sure about your 56, but on my 48 I wouldn't even try it. Are the clips already attached to the strip? If so, where did you get them. I had to attach the clips to the strip and then attach to the door. Not enough room to do it with the glass in. I take it you are talking about the horizontal anti rattlers.

Correct! Mine have the clips installed already. I bought them from Blue Oval Truck parts. It looks like it would go in with a little pressure, I'm just trying to get some ideas on how to install this better without breaking something.

If you have some slop in the window--maybe. But probably on the first one you install. After that the slop toward the bottom is cut in half--the anti rattlers work amazingly well for how simple it is. If you have new upper window channel and division bars--might as well get started taking out the window. Actually you probably don't have to remove the window entirely. Just undo the window from the regulator and let it slide down to clearance the bottom of the window opening.

Just my .02. However, this is a "T-shirt" in my massive collection of Murphy's Law memorabilia.

If I remember correctly, I scratched my paint with a screw driver and then just nicked the top of my glass and that started a crack.... so drop the window to the bottom of the door to be safe.
