rare trucks
i just came back from getting parts off of a rare old truck i have never seen before.it was a 1974 f350 crew cab 4x4 long box.it was a 390 standard(4spd) dana 60 front with spicer hubs a dana 70 rear(i think) divorce transfer case(205) the box has a void for a spare tire inside the pass fender in front of the wheelwell.the wheelwells in the box are further back than a standard box and on the floor of the bed was a very large pto driven winch(are these rare and wanted?).on the drivers door was a tag from a company dated 11/74 when the conversion was done.the truck came from maine.anyway i bought the bo
need to redo the wheelwells so not such a good deal) and the winch and pto and acc.i was wondering if it was worth alot and rare.i had never seen one before

That was a custom made truck. Ford never offered a 4x4 F-350 before 1979. Sounds like someone left the original rear axle from an F-350 and swapped highboy running gear under it. As for the box, I don't know. Seems like an awful lot of work to move the wheelwells back - right?
