F250 shifting problem

Hi Y'all,

I have a 94 F250 with a 460 and E4OD tranny. It has always shifted nice and smooth and seemed to shift at the proper time. I removed the battery to install some new horns and put everything back. The battery was probably out for an hour or so.

Ever since then, it shifts hard every time it shifts, really noticable between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and third, but hard even into overdrive. Also seems to come out of overdrive a little more easily than before.

The only thing that changed is the new horns and the battery being out for a while.

Since this seems to be something else that changed and caused the tranny to act funny, I hope this is the right forum as y'all know more about this model of truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Drive it for a few days and see if it improves. The computer "learns" the differences in the sensors and stores that in memory. You erased that memory when you took the battery out. See how it acts a few days later of starting and stopping.
