will a turbo and intake from a 00 fit a 99

I have a friend with a 00 f250 7.3 psd that he just smashed up beyond repair. can I put his intake and turbo on my early 99? build date on mine is 3/98

You sure can if he doesn't mind you pulling a few more parts off his rig

I'm pretty sure that you will need his intake plenums, turbo pedistal, complete turbo and intake system, and related clamps for starters

I'm sure someone else may have more to add to the list - that's the differences that I know about.....

thanks cat..just i wanted to hear ... some one sent me a link for a kit. was alot of $$$... ill look at that site again maybe it list every thing i need..how about his super chip? can i use that too?? not sure witch it is he has.. just know he has one in it..i was more in thoughts of the turbo.thanks again..

Don't forget the intercooler tubes, the five way manifold and the downpipe.

This site has a conversion kit http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...ROD&ProdID=276. Note that kit uses a downpipe adapter and custom piping instead of replacing the turbo mount pedestal. Yu having access to all the stock stuff will make it a true 99.5+ conversion.

for the superchip i dont know if it would work in the different computers but you could take out his computer with the superchip in it and swap it in your truck

Maybe he has less miles on his whole engine and you swap it out as 1 piece!

That doen't sound like much fun. Anyone here done a swap in their garage? Which reminds me of another swap question. Will the 6.0 tranny bolt right up?

lol smokin ...no he asked me if i wanted to buy it back from the ins. company. not sure how much yet..he wants a v-10 now..his moter has more miles then mine and he doesnt treat it all that well eather. but the spare parts would be nice to have..

thanks for the reply muktown..would i be better with a programable chip like the bully rather then a super chip?

thanks cookie.. do i need the cooler to or is that the same as mine?

almost forgot.. do i need to buy new injectors or will mine work with new intake and turbo swap????

I think the intercooler is a little bigger on the 2000, but yours will work fine. You will not need new injectors.
