Blend door problem in a '03??
I've got a problem with my wife's '03 Mountaineer, dual control AC. When the AC runs at it's max, after being locked up in the sun all day, I can feel a big difference between the drivers side and the passenger side cooling. As a guess, I don't think the drivers half (somewhere in the plenum) is being put into 'max' AC. My question to anyone who has had the experience is, does the 'blend door fix' work on a dual control system or am I looking at a completely different problem

The traditional Blend door is hot vs cold, not left vs right. My '03 doesn't have the seperate passenger control, so I'm not sure what's involved in the control system. I have dual AC but it's front vs rear. Are you certain that nobody has partially closed the vents on the passenger side? If the air is actually hotter on one side vs the other and you have seperate passenger vs driver controls, I'd check the controls. If you don't have seperate driver/passenger controls, I'd check for leaks or air flow restrictions.
