Hey guys....I have a 95 f-150 4x4....there is a very strange clicking sound coming from under the dash when i try to start it. When the door is shut, it does not do it, and when i tap the brake, it also stops clicking. Everything else in the truck is DEAD. WHen i turn the key, nothing comes on, not even the fuel pump, but the clicking stops. Then when i turn the key back to pull it out, the clicking starts again. No dash lights or anything when i turn the key though. I recently put in a new starter, not sure if that could have anything to do with it or not. The sound is definitley not coming from under the hood. This happend a few days ago as well, and i heard a pop come from under the dash, and my truck started right up. Well its doing it again, but it has not popped yet. Could this be a relay or something down there?
Another piece of info is i have to play with my shifter while its in park to get my truck to start almost everytime. But when this happens I have power to everything. NOt sure if that is connected in anyway or what that is. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
