Slave cylinder replacment
Ok so I noticed my clutch pedal was spongey and then it sunk to the floor.Turns out the hydraulic line from the slave cylinder to the master got melted by the heeder.My haynes manual says I have to re place the slave and master cylinder as a unit but I work at NAPA and it only comes seperate.What do I do?This is a 85 f250,302,4-speed,4x4

Why not replace both units and the line between them.
The slave could be next to fail. You never know.
IMHO Haynes and Chilton manuals are good for proping up a work bench.
They're so basic.
