im looking to drop my 2006 V6 F150.... i have only been able to find a 2" front, 4" rear drop kit from groundforce..... i like it but its 1100US! i have seen 2/4 and 3/5 kits for the V8's for alot less and im wondering if they will work? or will the missing front weight not let the V8 kit sit as low on my V6?
im also looking at a set of rims as well... looking at a set of 20" american racing mojave rims... i liek them becuz they r black... im wondering if they will work as they r 10" wide... and r they 4WD only or can i use them on my 2WD? or can sumone suggest another et that will work?
Yes you should be able to use the V8 kits and you are right, the drop will be less due to less weight. You could cut the springs a little to make up the difference.
Why would cutting your springs make it bouncy? It will increase the rate some, but for a 1" drop, it won't be a huge amount. You are starting with V6 springs anyways, I doubt the cut will even get you to a V8 spring rate.
Good luck though. You can drop it a ton with just some effort.
