shocks
we are going on long road trip soon.the shocks i have are gabreils that my father-in-law put on about 7 years ago.my explorer has 206,000 on it.i notice last time we went on a trip,with a load it rode very rough and very unstable on the highway.i was looking some monroe sena-trac shocks,they are buy 3 get 1 free.any suggests on these shocks.or just buy some cheap ones.thank you

Well, shocks would certainly help that. With a vehicle 13+ years old and that kind of mileage, I would be looking at a possible spring replacement if the vehicle squats in the back while loaded. That will make it very unstable no matter what shock you use.
A viable upgrade, along with shock replacement, would be rear air bags that you could adjust for the load, plus, they soften the ride a bit.
