1999 door code for trim package 3X. What color would you call the carpet. I want to buy high quality aftermarket but do not know what color to call it, or really where to buy it. Looking at suppliers sites I see the prices vary greatly and I ain't gonna buy cheap and end up buying often. Who knows where to get the very best?
this is directly from the Superduty VIN decoder thread on the SD board.

how cheap ? Stylinconcepts has an entire carpet, made to fit, dash to back for about $160.00 ..
I am not a whiz at searching internet sites, but all I can find here are floor mats. Plus, even when I do stumble across some I still won't know what color to ask for. Thanks to Kris's post I know what the 3 in my trim code denotes, but not the X, the X must be the color. The original carpet is sort of a brown, crappy looking, I think. I must want beige or saddle, but am concerned about how dark the saddle may be. I have had a high dollar leather interior put in the match the factory design, but there is no vinyl or cloth anywhere anymore. The trim shop was amazed that I was willing to pay for leather everywhere instead of the way the factory does it with leather on the seating area only and vinyl everywhere else. So as you can see, SS or not I want to spend to get the very best.
Should be the parchment. I think the parchment was the tan interior color until 02 or 03...then they just changed the name, not the color
Why can't they just call it TAN...Whats wrong with the word TAN!? Everyone knows what TAN means..TAN means TAN, basic plain and simple. Who knows what parchment is?... just wondering...is TAN more appealing when you call it parchment? Is it fancier somehow? OOO! Parchment honey, Parchment..that sounds like a yuppy color, we'll take it!
I still have not spotted a color very close to my original, the closest may be the coffee in the link posted above. Wonder why? Assuming I do find what I want how tough a job is this to do in a driveway? How in the world do you get them damn seat belt contraptions out? I'd also like to replace those with new, or better yet have that sorry sorry click it or ticket law repealed.

Ever look at what they call paint colors on new cars? They have all sorts of goofy names. I don't remember what they originally called the red that my truck is, but I came up with my own goofy name for it
Hey! My truck is the very same Please-Mr.-Police-Officer-Pull-Me-Over Red! What a coincidence! Actually, the name is pretty appropriate. I have a summons for court in a few weeks.....
Speaking of red vehicles, back when I still had a life (as in had a wife) we had 5 vehicles. A T-Bird SC, 2 Saturns, A E-150 Chateau and my first PSD, all red. Don't think for minute those damn Saturns were my idea. I agreed to them only cuz they were very towable behind the motor home.
May have found what I am looking for here. Color #854, it seems kinda cheap to me though. This is going to be my first attempt at posting a link at FTE, but if it works I would appreciate some opinions on quality of this product.

When I went looking for interior paint my 4H (parchment) color produced three colors on their computer. The pillars, dash, seats etc. are the medium parchment. The instrument cluster panel, armrest/switch cover panels and carpet are dark parchment.
Still don't know what the light parchment is...but all three colors were listed under the single interior trim code on the sticker.
