Ok i have had my truck for about 6-7 weeks now...2006 f250 5.4l 3v...and i was over my girlfriends sitting on the porch watching the old man across the street doing everything he could at the age of 82 to dig out the dirt around the trees roots so she could cut it out. i was thinking to myself ok do i do the right thing and ask him if he needs help or just sit here and watch because dam it was hot out...of course i helped because it would have been wrong not to...BUT did I go pick up a shovel or an ax you ask??? No sir i went into the bed of my truck and got the chains!!!!! got in my truck ... put it in 4 wheel drive... and backed into his front yard...at first he was wondering what i was doing putting tread marks in his front yard (it rained a little the night before) i hopped out and said dont worry ... step outta the way and ill take care of it ... now he was old and also old fashioned so he was a little sceptical and tryed convincing me that it wouldnt work ... meanwhile the neighbor was watching (hes about 27yrs old and owns a 2005 gmc sierra 2500hd (gas i believe its a 6.0) i could see the smirk on his face as a slowly took the slack out of the chain...o yeah the tree was a good size tree...it was cut down already to about 3' high and it was a good size tree but it wasnt no full grown oak or anything...any ways the gmc owner was smiling like he was thinking was is this kid thinking...i got the chain tight ... slowly got on the gas...crack ! crack! SNAP SNAP !!!! TIMBER!!!! The old man was thrilled ... the GMC owner was awe struck and the f250 was Growling as if he wanted more...i un hooked the chains got in my truck and pulled away with my head helled high...i knew it would do it but just not so easily...The PSD would have been alot easier and funner but man did that 5.4l 3v get the job done and i wouldnt be surprised if that kid with the GMC went in and traded it for a ford!!!
