Your 2.9 performance upgrades
I will be getting a 87 Ranger std cab 4x2 with a 2.9 with auto.And I would like to hear all your performance upgrades on 2.9 V6 that has helped your HP and GAs mileage. This truck is all stock including the tires. Thanks

The biggest upgrade you could do, would be to swap in a 4.0, or 5.0. There isn't alot out there for the 2.9, I'm sorry to say, and having an auto tranny won't help. I a'm sure there are some things you can do, I just don't know what, because of lack of experience with this motor. Maybe somebody will know, or try the v-6 forum further down.
