I just postponed mine in NY because I was out of state in VA. Just got a notice it will be next month. A trooper friend once told me to say if you have any pre-conceived judgement "they're guilty aren't they? They got arrested"

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were trying to figure out how to postpone your jury duty until after your vacation, but in reality you were soliciting ideas for how to get out of it completely.

Lemme guess - you don't bother to vote, either, do you?

The negative feedback wasn't necessary.

I do not like this positive/negative feedback thing. I am not really sure what it means in the long run but in the short run it certainly has the potential to be misused.

I, apparently, understood the original post the way you did andym. That hogtied was looking for a way to postpone/move his jury duty not get out of his civic responsibility all together.

In Canada you are actually called to the courthouse and picked out of a lineup for Jury duty.
A fifth of whisky on your breath and a lot of cursing about racial groups while there, will get you free.
