Speedometer and wipers
I have a question...
I have an (I believe) unusual situation. My speedometer does not work. Generally I would attribute this to a failure of the speed sensor on the rear differential.
However this is the odd thing...when the speedometer isn't working...the windshield wipers don't work either. I believe that this has got to be somewhat related to the temperature in the cab of the truck.
When I get in the truck to drive to work in the morning (the cab is relatively cool)...the speedo works fine. Then the truck sits at the parking lot for 10 hours and at 5:00 get into a fiercly hot truck....and without fail the speedo/wipers don't work. Fire up the AC and in about 15 minutes the speedo kicks up and starts working fine...however...if I leave the AC off and drive the whole way home with the windows rolled down (...not as cool as AC) ...the speedo/wipers problem continues...
Anybody have an explanation?
